Our trail marathon is just nine weeks away!  My times aren’t really improving, but my stamina is. Last weekend I ran solo up to skyline via the Bear Gulch Trail from Wunderlich Park. The first 65 minutes of the run is uphill! I was worried about running alone and not having Mark there to tell me how slow I am. I actually found the 11 mile run pretty easy and I could have kept running, except that I had to get to an open house. 

I will be at 238 S Bayview Avenue in downtown Sunnyvale on Saturday from 1:30 to 4:30. I will be at 160 Felton Drive on Sunday from 1:30 to 4:30. This is a beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house presented by my colleague, Brendan Callahan. Listed at $2,595,000, it sits on a large lot in Felton Gables, one of the most desirable neighborhoods of Menlo Park.

The Palo Alto Promenade of Music and Film Festival is this Friday from 4 to 10 pm. The event, free to the public, features 3 outdoor stages, 1 outdoor and numerous indoor movie screens and over 50 bands and filmmakers. University Avenue will be closed from High Street to Tasso Street.

Some of the best tennis players in the world will be competing in our backyard July 23rd-29th at the Taube Family Tennis Center on the Stanford campus.

The tournament, in its 37th year, is the longest-running women-only professional tennis tournament in the world and is the first stop of the US Open Series. A Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Tier II event, the Bank of the West Classic features a 28-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw with total prize money of $600,000. Held at Stanford since 1997, former champions include: Billie Jean King, Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Andrea Jaeger, Monica Seles, Martina Hingis, Lindsay Davenport and Venus Williams.
